Indian state reportedly rejects GM bid to cease operations

Authorities in Maharashtra, India have reportedly rejected General Motors’ application to cease operations at its plant in the state amid protests by workers who want the OEM to continue production (or keep them on payroll indefinitely), according to Reuters.
