Hyundai, Kia eyeing 11.5% sales increase this year

Hyundai and Kia expect their combined global vehicle sales to increase by 11.5% in 2021 after decreasing for the past two years. “Their target of 7.08 million vehicles comes after the coronavirus pandemic sent sales last year tumbling 12% to a decade low of 6.35 million vehicles,” said Reuters. “That result is also more than 20% off a peak reached in 2015.” The OEMs have missed their sales predictions for six years, although their 2021 target appears more realistic.
