December 18, 2020

Montreal plans to ban non-electric cars downtown as part of its Climate Plan 2020-2030. It also plans to plan 500,000 trees, remove parking around metro areas, and adopt strict regulations in Canada for greenhouse gas emissions from buildings, according to Driving.ca — which referenced a plan unveiled by Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante. “Even if the pandemic isn’t over, it’s important for us to present this plan today,” said Plante at a news conference.
