Quebec’s plan to ban all new gasoline-engine vehicles by 2035 so far leaves a few loopholes for flexibility. According to Driving.ca, “while a complete ban on internal combustion seems pretty darned definite, the province’s dictums still list plug-in hybrids as zero-emissions vehicles.” The ban is also on new gas cars (not older ones) that are sold within the province, but there is nothing about long-term visitors driving new foreign-registered gas vehicles.
