Exro Technologies, a developer of power electronics for electric motors and powertrains, announced on October 20 the launch of a newly-established Calgary Innovation Center.
The new facility will focus on delivering commercial products, allowing for in-house design, testing, and assembly of manufactured products to boost the performance of electric motors and powertrains.
“Calgary has welcomed us with open arms, and we couldn’t be more excited to be here during this transformative time,” said Sue Ozdemir, Chief Executive Officer of Exro. “We have had explosive growth since arriving in Calgary, and we look forward to continuing that growth with our business and technology.”
The facility will include large and small test bays to demonstrate the technology and prototypes. The company’s goal is to develop electric motors that are faster, stronger, and smarter.
