India will need a few years to return to peak

India’s auto sales volume, significantly impacted by the pandemic, will take three-to-four years to return to peak levels, according to Reuters. Sales of cars, SUVs, motorbikes and trucks had already fallen 75 per cent by April 1 from a year ago to about 1.5 million units, based on SIAM. “The impact of COVID-19 is going to be very harsh on the auto industry,” said SIAM President Rajan Wadhera. “As of now, we are staring into a very deep slowdown.” (Source: Reuters) Read the original story…
