AWS wins 2020 Global Company of the Year award

Frost & Sullivan, a world-renowned consulting firm focused on navigating economic changes and identifying disruptive technologies, have recognized Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) with the 2020 Global Company of the Year award.

The award is one of Frost & Sullivan’s best practice awards, which “recognizes companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer services, and strategic product development. Industry analysis compares market participants and measures performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.” Frost & Sullivan said in a recent press release.

Frost & Sullivan chose AWS as the recipient for this recognition after their recent analysis of global automotive cloud service platforms for the mobility industry. According to Frost & Sullivan, AWS earned the award for providing automotive companies with innovative solutions, unparalleled support and round-the clock services, adding that AWS uses a partner-centric strategy to support the entire automotive value chain including auto-tech start-ups, Tier I suppliers, OEMs, fleet providers, and mobility service providers.

Specializing in connected mobility, digital customer engagement, product innovation, as well as manufacturing and supply chains, AWS also offers partner solution architects who provide assessments and seek opportunities to reduce operational costs and increase revenue for partners.

“With the largest customer and partner community in the world, AWS stands out with its industry-best scalability, elasticity, innovation, cost savings, and global reach.” says Niranjan Manohar, Research Director at Frost & Sullivan. “More importantly it creates clear value by focusing on its clients and then co-locating, co-developing, and co-investing with them through a highly distinct engagement model.” he added.

Specifically, Frost & Sullivan found that AWS has an extensive set of connected, autonomous, shared and electric (CASE)-related cloud services compared to the competition. These services include AWS IoT, AWS Outposts and AWS Wavelengths.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning, high-performance computing, purpose-built databases and data analytics are amongst some of AWS’ capabilities which, according to Frost & Sullivan, reinforce the company’s reputation for tight security, continuous innovation, and high performance.
