The CADA Laureate recognition award program is celebrating its 20th year. With three new CADA Laureate award winners named this week by CADA, there are now 60 CADA Laureates who have been selected from coast to coast.
They are chosen from among CADA’s 3,200 plus dealer members, come from all parts of the country, from single rooftop dealerships to large groups, and they range widely in age. It’s not a lifetime achievement award, so if you are doing amazing work as a dealer, you could win this award — even if you are relatively young.
But it’s a pretty exclusive group, and one you can’t buy your way into. The only way you can be granted membership is if an industry peer nominates you. Then a selection committee of industry experts vets the hundreds of nominations received each year down to only 15 — five in each of the three categories of Ambassadorship, Business Innovation and Retail Operations.
Then it’s up to the independent judges from the Ivy Business School at Western University to pick the winners from among the finalists.

This year’s group consists of two male dealers, one from Ontario and one from Saskatchewan, and a woman from Québec.
We won’t spoil the news here; CADA released the names of the three winners in a video announcement. You can watch that video here:
