Amazon eyes driverless startup Zoox

Amazon is reportedly in talks with self-driving startup Zoox to purchase the company. Zoox was originally aiming to build hardware and software for electric vehicle robotaxis, and to launch a ride-hailing service in San Francisco. “It’s likely that if Amazon does purchase Zoox, the technology that was supposed to be used for self-driving taxis will be used instead by the retailer for package delivery,” said Car and Driver.
