Vehicle auction Copart expands Montreal location

U.S.-based vehicle auction company Copart recently announced a 24-acre expansion to its Montreal, Que. location this month.

The company officially entered the Canadian market in 2003 with a location in Toronto, Ont., and has since expanded to Calgary and Edmonton, Alta., Moncton, N.B., Halifax, N.S., London, Ont., and Montreal, Que.

“We are excited to grow our capacity in Canada by expanding our Montreal location,” said Steve Macaluso, Managing Director of Copart Canada. “This will enable us to grow our vehicle inventory and offer our members even more choices.”

The Montreal auctions are held on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Central Time (10 a.m. Eastern Time).

Copart currently operates in various locations around the globe, including the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Brazil, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain, Spain, Finland — and of course the U.S. and Canada.

The company offers services to “process and sell salvage and clean title vehicles” to dealers and other auto industry members, and said it has more than 125,000 vehicles available online every day.
