Lexus, Honda, Toyota and Porsche received the most model-level awards during J.D. Power’s presentation of its 2019 resale value awards on August 21, which recognizes the best resale value across 26 model segments after three years of ownership.
“One of the biggest concerns for many new-vehicle owners is depreciation,” said Jonathan Banks, Vice President of Vehicle Valuations & Analytics at J.D. Power. “Our transaction database shows the models that have the lowest depreciation costs, which can be very helpful to new-car buyers when deciding on their purchase.”
During the presentation, Lexus received six model-level awards for its CT, RC, GS, NX, RX, and LX models.
Honda received five, thanks to the Fit, Civic, Accord, CR-V, and Odyssey.
Toyota took in four model-level awards due to its Prius, Tacoma, 4Runner, and Tundra.
And Porsche had three: the Cayman, 911, and Panamera
Several other models also ranked highest in their segments, including the Audi Q3, Chevrolet Tahoe, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, GMC Sierra 3500, Scion tC, and Subaru Crosstrek.
