Blackcircles, a European-based online retailer of tires, has launched its online tire-shopping service in Canada.
The new offering, officially made available to Canadian consumers on November 1, but it has the potential to impact the auto dealership’s role in selling and installing tires. “This is an important evolution in the tire purchasing process,” Martin Gendron, President and General Manager of blackcircles.ca.
“These days, consumers expect to be able to buy products anywhere, at any time and on any device. At Blackcircles.ca, we understand this, and we recognize the importance of delivering quality products at a competitive price coupled with unparalleled client service.”
The company’s website seeks to simplify the tire-buying process for passenger-vehicle tires. The service allows consumers to research, purchase tires, and then schedule an installation appointment online.
The company says the service is geared towards meeting consumer preferences to spend less time in-stores and to have more control over the purchasing journey. The company is also offering a wide selection of popular tire brands and a better consumer experience, according to its news release.
“Our supply chain is ‘just-in-time’, which allows us to offer customers competitive prices with quicker turn-around and better buyer experience,” said Gendron.
Once consumers select their tires, they are then directed to line up their installation at a network of garages connected to the service.
