CIAS to focus on changes in auto industry

Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 Canadian International AutoShow, which will focus on how the automotive industry is reinventing itself.

The event theme, “The New Movement,” is meant to reflect the changes taking place within the auto world by exploring the evolution of the automobile in terms of personalization, mobility and rapid advancements in new infrastructure and technology, according to a news release.

“Consumers are hungry to hear more about these new developments, and there’s no better place than the AutoShow to learn from the experts,” said AutoShow General Manager Jason Campbell.

The impending technological transformations facing the auto industry are expected to attract even more people for the 2018 AutoShow. In 2017, a record 340,000 people attended the event.

Emphasis will be placed on “new evolutionary technologies” that are greatly impacting the auto world. More than 1,000 vehicles will also be on display, and special presentations — both informative and entertaining — will be available to attendees.

The 2018 Canadian International AutoShow will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Ont. between Feb. 16 and 25.
