Digital first promises better inventory management

TradeRev and ADESA have teamed up to launch a “Digital First” initiative that encourages dealers to use the TradeRev mobile app platform before sending cars to a physical auction.

By doing so, they say, dealers can launch and win auctions across a nationwide network from the palms of their hands — and liquidate and source inventory smarter, faster and cheaper.

“Mobile technology is disrupting the wholesale auction marketplace by empowering dealers and putting them in full control,” said Mark Endras, TradeRev CEO and co-founder. “ADESA is North America’s premier auction marketplace with thousands of strong, trusted dealer relationships.”

ADESA, a business unit of KAR Auction Services, holds a 50 per cent stake in TradeRev. As part of the cross-brand collaboration, TradeRev will have a physical presence at 14 ADESA auction locations.

ADESA sales teams will help Canadian dealers load inventory onto the app. Once launched, dealers can receive live, real time bids from any participating TradeRev dealer.

“ADESA is committed to helping our customers buy and sell inventory as quickly and efficiently as possible — regardless of the channel,” said Trevor Henderson, COO of ADESA Canada.
