Nearly 2,000 people, including global leaders from the electric vehicle supply chain and government partners, will be convening in Montreal, Quebec for the world’s largest EV symposium.
The 29th International Electric Vehicle Symposium, co-hosted by Electric Mobility Canada and the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA), will be held June 19-22, 2016, at the Palais des congres de Montreal.
The event theme is “Drive Electric Innovation,” and will feature over 300 sessions, including plenary presentations, lectures and dialogues from industry leaders, technology experts and government partners.
Some of the topics covered will include progress and outlook for the international EV market and the global growth and benefits of EVs.
As part of the symposium, attendees can test out the latest EVs and charging equipment in the exhibit hall. Local residents will also have a chance to explore the exhibit hall during public day on June 19th.
“The EVS series is the only event that assembles the entire global electric drive industry under one roof, giving delegates a comprehensive view of the progress being made in vehicles, batteries and other components and hosting discussion of the latest in public policies, best practices and consumer choice,” said Chantal Guimont, president of Electric Mobility Canada, in a written release.
Event supporters include carmakers such as Toyota and Honda, as well as the Quebec and Ontario governments.
