Trucks and SUVs are starting to steal the leasing show, said Wantalease.com, a U.S. online marketplace for new car lease deals.
The site found a growing number of trucks and SUVs can now be leased for under $350 per month in the U.S., and some, including luxury models, for as low as $250 a month.
“For some time now, trucks and utilities have been the talk of the automotive world with their popularity increasing as a result of low gas prices and credit availability,” said Scot Hall, Executive Vice-President of Swapalease.com, sister marketplace of Wantalease.com.
“We’re now seeing this momentum carry over into lease deals, with more trucks and utilities being offered at lower monthly payment points than we’ve seen in the past.”
Even popular pickup trucks, such as the Ford F-150 SuperCrew SWB 4×4 XLT, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD Double Cab LT and Colorado 2WD LT Extended Cab SB, had monthly payments lower than $350.
The Nissan Rogue S AWD was the lowest-priced SUV on the website offered at $189 a month.
On the luxury side, the Acura ILX is currently offered at $219 per month and the Infiniti Q50 3.7 Premium for $309 a month.
