DMT Development Systems Group Inc. (DMT) is once again the largest corporate donor for the Children’s Wish Foundation chapter in Manitoba and Nunavut, said it’s director, Maria Toscano.

The Winnipeg-based automotive industry software provider presented the Foundation with a cheque for $102,225 — the largest corporate donation in the Chapter’s history.

The funds will help grant wishes to children living with high-risk life threatening illnesses.

“When corporations lend their support to this worthy cause, it’s a win-win situation. Helping children fulfill a wish is not only a wonderfully rewarding experience, it is also a powerful reflection of a company’s brand. Good deeds speak volumes about a ‘corporate character’. It’s about the unselfish, unsung effort that embraces the fundamental spirit of caring and the deep desire to make a difference,” said Toscano, in a written release.

“This campaign would not be possible with the unparalleled generosity and sense of community that our staff bring to the table. The results leave me feeling incredibly proud of the initiative displayed to help those who truly need it. We hope that our results serve as encouragement for other companies to develop similar campaigns to give back to their communities,” said Glen Demetrioff, President & CEO of DMT Development Systems Group Inc.

The charity was selected as part of DMT’s “Payroll for the Needy program,” in which employees donate part of their pay cheques. The pledges are then matched by DMT.
