The best new small car of 2016, Honda Civic
Categories cover the full new-model spectrum, with core categories further divided into price ranges for fair and relevant comparisons, said AJAC.
The category winners will now go head to head to win the overall Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year titles. These will be announced at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto during Media Preview Day on Feb. 12, 2016.
AJAC said it will also announce the winners of its Canadian Green Car of the Year awards at the Vancouver International Auto Show in March.
The group of winners represent the voting results of TestFest, an event where select AJAC reviewers gathered in Clarington, Ont. this October to take new vehicles to the test.
The vehicles were driven back-to-back over the course of several days, generating almost 2,000 test drives, producing over 11,000 data points and around 1,7000 category ballots, said Justin Pritchard, co-chair of the Canadian Car of the Year committee.
Scores are made available at www.ajac.ca for new car shoppers to help them compare models, added Pritchard.
