A large contingent of Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) directors, dealers and associate members descended on Great Exuma Island in the Bahamas for their Annual General Meeting in April.

While the official agenda didn’t start until Thursday, many attendees arrived early for a much needed break from what has been a long winter. Held at the recently acquired and renovated Sandals resort, the weather and property did not disappoint.

Thursday evening’s kickoff began with opening remarks from Todd Bourgon, TADA Executive Director, followed by remarks from Doug Sullivan, TADA president, and Stephen Chipman, CADA Chairman.

Dealers in attendance were then treated to “pulse of the industry” presentations from numerous associate members in attendance. Presentations covered all facets of the automotive vertical, including where the industry is moving for non-digital companies.

Friday and Saturday were filled with networking and team building opportunities, many taking advantage of excursions to George Town to watch the Great Exuma Regatta beach olympics and speaker sessions.

AGM attendees also heard from Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals, about his family’s journey to one of the world’s leading resort companies. Dealers could relate easily to Scott’s tale of success and hurdles, as well as the implementation of the right company culture throughout every Sandals destination. Scott remained after his talk to speak directly with the dealers and associate members.

G.B Outlaw, founder of Inspire2Act, gave a memorable Saturday morning motivational session. Outlaw and his company have a proven track record of corporate training and helping organizations excel through awareness, action and accountability, in a way that delivers professional and personal growth to become the organization that experiences success.

Outlaw’s personality, along with his interactive approach, was an excellent way to start the final day of meetings. Dealers were fortunate to spend the remainder of the weekend with Outlaw.

Attendees left refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to return to their dealerships and businesses to move their teams to further successes.
