AJAC’s annual EcoRun is returning to British Columbia for a two-day journey of testing a variety of eco-friendly vehicles.
On March 25-26, 20 automotive journalists will test drive a range of new vehicles from sedans to trucks that include pure electrics, plug-in and conventional hybrids, diesel-fuelled powertrains, hydrogen fuel cells and highly-efficient gasoline options.
These vehicles will be taken through real-world road conditions to test them for accurate fuel economy numbers and to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
EcoRun kicks off on March 25 at the Vancouver International Auto Show with opening ceremonies from the Jack Poole Plaza. The group of vehicles will then head out into North Vancouver towards the Horseshoe Bay Ferry on route to Vancouver Island and it concludes back at the Coast Coal Harbour hotel in Vancouver.
Last year’s EcoRun was also held in British Columbia, with about 18 eco-friendly vehicles test-driven from Whistler and Pemberton and then back to Vancouver over three days.
