As part of the CADA Summit, The Canadian Automobile Dealers Association handed out its prestigious awards to the winners of its 2014 Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Survey.

These awards, which are presented annually, are given to manufacturers that work well with their dealer network throughout the year.

The big winner this year was Honda Canada, with the highest overall ranking in a dealer network with more than 100 stores.

The accolade for the highest overall ranking in a dealer network with less than 100 stores went to Subaru Canada for the third year of four. Don Durst, Senior vice-president of Subaru Canada, says Subaru was ranked 19th on the survey a decade ago, and contributes its success to the CADA helping Subaru get on the right path to better relations with its dealer network.

Nissan Canada earned the award for the Most Improved Franchise, proving a year-over-year score by over 12 base points, a major improvement from last year.

Ford Canada earned a spot as the winner of the Most Effective Dealer/Manufacturer Communications with a body of 100 or more. Rounding out the awards was Mini Canada, awarded the Most Improved Franchise for a body of 100 dealers or less.

The CADA DSI Award winners were selected based on the results from CADA’s annual DSI Survey that goes out to dealer principals each fall. Dealers respond to questions related to the performance of their manufacturers, including include overall communication, ease of doing business, vehicle and parts deliveries, customer satisfaction policies and sales and service.

The 2015 CADA Summit is organized by the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, and is supported by an exclusive sponsorship from TD Auto Finance.
