In Vancouver recently, MCL Motor Cars and the Dilawri Group of Companies hosted more than 200 guests at the Shangri-La Hotel for the exclusive launch of one of the world’s most luxurious cars — the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur. Ajay Dilawri, president of the Dilawri Group of Companies; Dean Rideout, general sales manager, MCL Motor Cars; and Kim Airey, director of sales and operations for Bentley Motors North America officiated the elegant affair with a ceremonial champagne sabering and toast to Bentley’s latest model.
To commemorate the founding of Bentley Motors back in 1919, the event had an understated Great Gatsby-esque theme, with influences evident in the venue’s decor and entertainment. Guests were treated to an impressive performance by five-year-old local piano protégé, Isabelle XinYi Wang, who performed at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall earlier this year. Jazz vocalist, Chad Clark (also general manager at Hawksworth Restaurant) performed, as did the Max Zipursky Trio.
Since the launch, MCL Motor Cars has reported an impressive number of orders for the new Flying Spur but it will be September before those lucky Vancouverites get to take their new high-end vehicles for a spin.
