Chrysler Canada selects CollisionLink for its dealer network

ChryslerBeginning in May, Chrysler Canada Inc. will begin rolling out OEConnection’s CollisionLink across its dealer network. CollisionLink is an online parts ordering and fulfillment solution that is designed to help dealerships and collision centres increase efficiency by improving parts ordering accuracy and reducing unnecessary phone and fax communication to ensure quicker vehicle repairs and better customer satisfaction. Chrysler is the third Original Equipment Manufacturer to adopt CollisionLink in Canada, following Ford Motor Company and General Motors.

Besides improving efficiencies, the upcoming expansion will also provide dealerships and collision centres with access to an additional program that offers competitive pricing on OEM parts.

Like the programs available from Ford and GM, Chrysler’s Conquest program will be integrated within CollisionLink to help Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep dealers compete more aggressively with low-priced aftermarket suppliers and sell more original equipment replacement parts.

“CollisionLink provides a streamlined and accurate method of ordering and fulfilling original equipment parts and then takes it up a notch with the integration of automakers’ parts programs,” said Bruce Woodrich, Mopar Collision and Repair Parts Marketing Manager for Canada. “We are confident that the solution will enable dealers to better serve their shop customers by giving them an easy method for ordering authentic Mopar parts and taking advantage of the Chrysler Conquest program. When given a choice, repairers prefer to install genuine, precise-fitting factory parts, which can be installed faster and ensure that customers’ vehicles are restored to ‘like new’ condition. CollisionLink is a tool that will help us maintain the integrity of Chrysler vehicles while keeping their owners satisfied and loyal to our brand.”

Bill Lopez, OEConnection Collision Business Unit & OEM Programs Director, said he is pleased by the early adoption and steady growth of CollisionLink in Canada over the past year. “CollisionLink provides value for nearly every stakeholder in the collision repair industry — from automakers and wholesale parts dealers to body shops, vehicle owners and insurance companies,” Lopez said. “As it has in the U.S., CollisionLink is changing not just the method by which Canadian shops order parts, but also the types of parts they buy: original equipment versus aftermarket or recycled.”
