This week, dealer group Pfaff Automotive Partners, announced that Chris Green will be lead driver for the Pfaff Castrol Motorsports team; competing in the 2013 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada.
This season marks the second consecutive one for the team in this series and they hope to build on last year’s momentum.
“We have built a strong heritage in Canadian motorsport,” remarked Christopher Pfaff, president and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “This is something we’re passionate about and it gives me great pride that we continue to participate in this racing legacy today.”
Green, who has been racing since the age of nine and last year won all four races in the gold class and set new track records at each event, said “I am excited and honoured to be part of the Pfaff Castrol Motorsport team for the 2013 series. To join a team with such a rich racing background and proven success, including an almost dominating performance in 2012, I truly look forward to driving the very same car to the front of the field. I have to thank Chris and Pfaff Automotive Partners for giving me this exceptional opportunity. We are driven by the same goals and we are highly motivated. I intend to take full advantage of it.”
Pfaff Automotive Partners, which has a strong presence in motorsport circles in Canada, is also one of the leading automotive retailers in Canada. It was founded when Hans J. Pfaff purchased a small Volkswagen dealership on Yonge Street in Newmarket, Ont. in 1964. That small store emerged as a premium Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche dealership in Ontario. The company has since grown and now operates franchises in Newmarket, Vaughan, London, Orangeville and Vancouver, B.C. In 2011, Pfaff was awarded the exclusive McLaren franchise for Canada, and is now one of the largest and most successful dealer groups in the country. In addition to its retail operations, Pfaff Automotive Partners also operates Pfaff Tuning (its performance arm), Pfaff Leasing and its Pfaff Autoworks collision repair business.
