It seemed like a good place to park: For the past two summers a pair of ospreys — also known as sea hawks or fish eagles — have occupied a nest at the entrance of Salmon Arm, B.C.’s Jacobson Ford dealer. The fish-eating birds, who fly over surrounding lakes, have successfully reared young, with one new chick seen occasionally in the large nest on top of the power pole. The family seems unfazed by pedestrians and traffic along the main highway.
