Chrysler’s Parts and Service division, Mopar, recognized an important milestone on January 31st, namely its 75 anniversary. In celebration of the event, four customized Chrysler Group vehicles were unveiled; a modified 300 sedan, dubbed the “Mopar ’12 300,” an enhanced 2013 Dodge Dart compact labeled the “GTS 210 Tribute,” a custom 2012 Fiat 500 “Stinger” and 2012 Jeep Compass “True North Edition.”
The 300, which sports special black paint and exterior touches, including blue pinstripes and lowered suspension, among other things, will actually go into production at Chrysler’s Brampton assembly plant, though only 500 examples will be built. The others; were built to showcase what you can do with a little help from the Mopar parts catalogue.
The Dart GTS 210 Tribute, sports a red and black exterior theme, with unique upgrades, including front and rear body extensions; a carbon fibre hood, 18-inch wheels and special Katzkin interior, along with a tuned engine and exhaust that boosts power from 184 to 210 hp.
The Fiat 500 Stinger, boasts striking Giallo yellow paint with black accents, special Katzkin interior, bigger tires, upgraded brakes and a performance intake and exhaust system.
The Jeep, meanwhile, adopts an outdoor adventure theme, with fender flares, lower body cladding, front and rear brush bars, two-inch lift kit, BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires and thumping sound system, courtesy of Kicker Audio. All four vehicles will be on display at this year’s Chicago International Auto Show, which runs from February 10-19, while the parts to build something similar will be available through authorized Mopar retailers.
