The Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) Charity Preview, the official pre-opening celebration of the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS), is back for its 8th year.
The Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation’s Foundation and the Palais des congrès de Montréal, co-presenters of the evening, will present this unique event on Thursday, January 12, 2012, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, according to a news release.
This year, a popular comedian José Gaudet will act as spokesperson. “It is a privilege for me to participate in this Charity Preview evening, a magical event. I am so glad I could use one of my passions, the automotive world, to help raise money for health, which greatly needs it!” says Gaudet.
This annual event brings together leaders and members of the automobile industry, the business community, artists and athletes to support five major hospital foundations from the Greater Montreal Area. Organizers say they all work towards a common goal: preserving the health of people locally. Since it premiered in 2005, the event has donated nearly $2.3 million to the health care community, thanks to the generosity of thousands of participants.
This event also offers an exclusive VIP opportunity to visit the Montreal International Auto Show in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and features a gourmet buffet, selection of fine wines, entertainment, silent auction, and the chance to win one of five door prizes.
Tickets are $185 per person. All proceeds benefit the partner foundations and a $60 income tax receipt will be issued to all attendees.
