Local auto firms consider proposal to recruit Ukrainian refugees

Local automotive firms in Windsor, Ont., are exploring a proposal from the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association to recruit Ukrainian refugees and provide them with jobs. “We’re considering it,” said Larry Koscielski, Vice-President of Process and Technology Development for CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd. “We’re educating ourselves. I think the manufacturing sector is as compassionate as any other sector in trying to help.” The Windsor Star said the APMA estimates the auto supply sector could absorb 500 people if everything works out.
