Biden to end government purchase of gas, diesel vehicles by 2035

U.S. President Joe Biden signed an executive order that will end the purchase of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles by the government by 2035, thereby repositioning the country as “a leader in sustainability.” “By the deadline, the government has pledged it will only purchase zero-emission vehicles as the Biden administration continues to work toward its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 nationwide,” said CNET, adding that the order “ends the purchase of light-duty fossil fuel-powered vehicles even earlier—by 2027.” (Source: CNET) Read the original story…
