Cox Automotive, BMW Group Canada team-up on omni-channel offering

Cox Automotive Canada and BMW Group Canada recently entered a partnership that will leverage Manheim Canada to offer BMW and MINI retailers across the country the ability to use its new Upstream Vehicle Management platform.

The new platform is an omni-channel wholesale buying solution offering a number of benefits, including improvements in overall operational performance.

“BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and Motorrad retailers now have another effective tool to help them seamlessly and efficiently acquire off-lease vehicles,” said Jack Sulymka, General Manager of National Accounts and Operations, Cox Automotive Canada. “

The solution allows BMW Group Canada to offer a tailored and connected experience designed for their dealers across both digital and physical channels, according to the company. The idea is to shift operational efforts on speed and channel optimization as the new technology helps manage off-lease vehicles in a more efficient manner.

“Our decision to partner with Cox Automotive Canada is a key step in our digital transformation,” said Ryan Puskas, Director of Used Car Business, BMW Group Canada. “The digital tools Cox has created for us offers expanded functionality and a simplified user experience for our BMW and MINI retail partners.”

Puskas said the company’s vision, which is “very much aligned” with Cox Automotive’s approach, is to bring a more holistic and fully integrated solution to the table—one that allows their retailers to efficiently manage their used car acquisition and retail processes.

“We look forward to realizing the benefits of this platform and our strong collaboration,” said Puskas.
