First VW ID.4 EV rolls off production line in U.S.; mass production to begin in 2022

Volkswagen’s first ID.4 electric vehicle rolled off the production line, although mass production is only expected to commence in 2022. The vehicle rolled out of the Chattanooga, Tennessee factory and was used as a validation build to test the assembly process and other components. Green Car Reports said VW aims to sell 500,000 ID.4s annually and globally by 2025. “That’s a third of the 1.5 million electrified vehicles the company aims to be producing annually by that point.” (Source: Green Car Reports) Read the original article.
