Biden wants 50% of new vehicles sold in 2030 to be EVs

President Biden issued an executive order to make half of all new vehicles sold in the United States in 2030 electric. The move, which will help the American government reach its goal of slashing greenhouse gas emissions, has the backing of the country’s largest auto manufacturers. The order also included a proposal for new vehicle emissions standards aimed at reducing pollution, notably with a 10% stringency increase in the 2023 model year.
