Grand Touring Automobiles recently announced that it will officially serve as the exclusive national retailer for Swedish supercar brand Koenigsegg. Grand Touring Automobiles has partnered with Koenigsegg and will act as their exclusive national retailer in Canada. To celebrate the partnership, Grand Touring Automobiles launched a national tour highlighting the world’s only Mega-GT.
“It is an honour for Grand Touring Automobiles to now represent the Koenigsegg brand across Canada,” says Paul Cummings, Dealer Principal and CEO of Grand Touring Automobiles. “The Gemera is one of the most remarkable cars built by any automaker anywhere, and I know there are some Canadian enthusiasts who can’t wait to see it in person. And we can’t wait to show them,” Cummings added.
The Mega-GT is a four seat Koenigsegg Gemera, the first of its kind with three electric motors as well as a twin-turbo 3-cylinder combustion engine. The all-wheel-drive Gemera boasts 1700-hp and achieves a speed 0-100km/h in only 1.9 seconds.
The Swedish supercar company has earned critical acclaim by creating record-breaking megacars combined with sustainable mobility technologies, constantly pushing the industry to new heights. Grand Touring Automobiles has facilitated the spread of supercars across the country, acting as an award-winning retailer for some of the world’s top brands. In fact, Grand Touring Automobiles recently earned distinction in 2020 as the number one Bugatti retailer in North America.
The Mega-GT tour began in Montreal with a private event on July 19, 2021. During the tour, elite shoppers had the chance to interact with the groundbreaking vehicle, and additional invite-only showings are taking place in other major Canadian cities this month. The tour also includes Koenigsegg’s fastest ever car, the Jesko Absolut.
