Roadster launches community platform, prepares for NADA

Roadster recently launched a community online platform for dealer partners and non-partners, in all dealership roles.

The Roadster Community launched just before the holidays and is open to anyone from anywhere in the automotive industry, according to Michelle Denogean, CMO at Roadster.

“The goal of our community was to create a space for dealers to come together and learn from one another about digital retailing related topics,” said Denogean, in response to an inquiry from Canadian auto dealer. “We have found over the years that dealers learn best from other dealers and have made so many one-on-one introductions for this reason up to this point.”

Denogean said the community was a natural evolution for the company, as they wanted to create a space for everyone to connect, network, ask questions, and offer advice.

Similar in nature, Roadster is also hosting a virtual event called the Roadster Community Live during the week of the NADA Show for dealers to connect live.

“Since one of the biggest values of NADA in person is the networking, we thought we would host these connections virtually,” said Denogean. “Think of it like a webinar, but only the Q&A portion with one of our dealer partners. Cameras on, real dialogue. We are just facilitating.”

The company also launched a contest called the Extra Mile Contest in December, which seeks to recognize salespeople who did an incredible job during a difficult year. Categories include customer experience, sales achievement, mastering technology, improving process, and transaction speed.

As an industry, we typically tell the stories at the dealership and/or leadership level. But, these dealerships and leaders cannot be successful without their teams,” said Denogean. “Our goal is to not only give dealerships the platform to recognize their people, but to also share success stories and best practices on the ground that can inspire other salespeople to try new things and push themselves further.”

Denogean believes the submissions will lead to rich stories that can inspire people to empower their staff and to push themselves outside of their comfort zones.

The contest ends on January 31, and the winners will be announced in early February during the NADA event. Nominees chance winning a $100 Amazon gift card.

The NADA Show 2021 will take place between Feb. 9-11, 2021.
