As part of its climate change plans, the federal government plans to increase its use of hydrogen through regional hubs. “Natural Resources Minister Seamus O’Regan says the clean-burning fuel could provide up to 30 per cent of Canada’s energy needs by 2050,” said CBC. “He says it could be an industry worth $50 billion and could provide 350,000 jobs.” The plan spans five years and includes setting up regional hubs across Canada, such as in Edmonton and Vancouver.
