OMVIC releases guidelines for dealership sales operations

The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) has released guidelines for dealership sales operations during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Dealerships in the province re-opened on May 4 on an appointment-only basis and with rules to comply with strict public health measures to be able to operate safely during the crisis. OMVIC said its guidelines are meant to help dealerships during this transition.

The guide is divided into five sections: COVID-19 Information, Dealership Operations, Touchless Test Drives, Premises Sanitation, and Vehicle Sanitation. It also offers resources and checklists for dealerships to consider:
