Dick Lau has been tapped as Chief Operating Officer at Wood Automotive Group in Calgary, Alta., according to a company news release.
“It’s exciting for me to move back to Calgary and back to the Wood Automotive Group,” said Lau. He originally held the position of Sales Manager at the group’s Woodridge Ford Lincoln store, and as the General Manager at Advantage Ford before moving to B.C. There, he worked for 17 years as Partner and Dealer-Principal at a Ford and Lincoln dealership in North Vancouver.
Lau brings more than 40 years of automotive experience to his new position. As COO of Wood Automotive Group, which includes nearly 600 employees, he will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all group dealerships.
