The Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association (VEVA) has announced its plans to celebrate its 23rd EV event at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver, B.C. on Aug.18, 2018.
Known as ElectraFest, the annual gathering draws in thousands of people from across Metro Vancouver who attend to learn more about electric mobility and what’s new in the clean transportation and renewable energy sectors.
Attendees can also test drive some of the EVs, including the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet BOLT EV, Kia Soul EV, Volkswagen e-Golf, BMW i3 and the Hyundai IONIC. Plug-in hybrids and extended-range EVs are also available from Chevrolet, Mitsubishi and Hyundai.
According to VEVA, the event also brings together “dealerships, manufacturers, vendors and installers to exhibit their products and services.” E-bike vendors will be on site to showcase their electric bikes and scooters, while other vendors will offer test rides on a short test course.
Admission to ElectraFest is free of charge. The event will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver.
