GAC Motor to open dealership showroom in Dubai

China’s GAC Motor is extending its offerings to the United Arab Emirates market, where the company plans to open a dealership showroom in Dubai in June to promote its most popular models.

“The opening of our new showroom in Dubai gives GAC Motor another platform where we can showcase our advanced and high-quality vehicles in the Middle East,” said Yu Jun, President of GAC Motor. “Furthermore, with this new outpost, we will elevate the shopping experience for customers with enhanced service quality.”

The 10,764 square-foot facility will hold vehicles like the GS4 and GS8 models, and the store will offer promotional deals such as after-sales service packages and preferential financial packages, according to company’s news release.

GAC must first receive permission to sell its vehicles in Dubai and to do that the cars will need to pass a series of exams, which include CAE Certification, system examination, a vehicle test and targeted tests of seven road conditions (intense heat, high humidity, hypothermia, ice and snow, mountain, plateau and dusty environment). The tests are conducted on 200 cars that can reach an accumulated endurance mileage of 19.8 million kilometres. “Even in the hot, dry and sandy climate of the Middle East, GAC Motor products still deliver excellent performance,” said Yu.

The automaker will promote its GS8 and GS4 SUVs, and GA8 sedan, throughout the month of June in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the U.A.E. and Lebanon via a series of marketing campaigns that seek to connect with consumers through a preferential financial policy, exhibitions at local shopping malls and test drive events.
