Quebec dealer Norman Hébert Jr. awarded Order of Canada

Quebec dealer Norman Hébert Jr. has been awarded the Order of Canada, one of the highest and most distinguished civilian honours for merit in the country, according to a news release from the Governor General of Canada.

Hébert, who is the President and CEO of the Groupe Park Avenue dealerships, located in and around the Montreal region, received the recognition for his leadership role as an entrepreneur in the auto industry, and for supporting a number of charitable causes.

“Receiving this honour represents so much for me and it inspires me to continue to surpass myself,” he said in a Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) news release.

Hébert has done a lot with his involvement in university and education, according to John White, CADA President & CEO. He also adds that “his nomination elevates the entire profession and sector.”

“This is a pinnacle for what has been a very active career — not just for his dealership, but also in the service of dealers overall,” said White.

Hébert is one of few people in the auto industry to receive the honour.

Among the many awards and recognitions he has received in his life, Hébert has also been a recipient of the McLean’s Automotive Dealer of Excellence Award, and he has been named a CADA Laureate in the ambassador category for his service to his community and the industry.
