OpenRoad VW in Vancouver, B.C. recently celebrated its grand opening with a west coast beach party that featured an outdoor beach volleyball court, collector VW displays and a gourmet barbecue.
More than 500 guests attended the event, including Maria Stenstrom, President of Volkswagen Canada, and Christian Chia, President & CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.
“We wanted our grand opening to be a fun evening that was reminiscent of vintage VW beach culture but with a definite modern, Westcoast vibe,” said Ben Lovie, General Manager for OpenRoad VW, in a written release.
The 45,000 sq.ft. facility opened in May, and boasts digital features such as a “Welcome Wall,” with multimedia and other promotional information, and a large showroom equipped with iPads.The service area has 18 service bays, a detail centre, automated car wash, modern customer lounge and ample free parking.
Customers can enjoy unique services such as solo test drive bays, OpenRoad house calls, a service valet, free car washes and free equipment rentals of items like bicycles, ski racks and car seats, said OpenRoad.
