Motor Vehicle & Parts is one of the most desirable sectors in which to work in Canada, according to this year’s Randstad Award study. That’s welcome news for Canada’s auto industry.
Among this year’s top 20 most attractive employers are Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada at no. 12 and Honda Canada Inc. at no. 19.
The rankings are based on an independent survey of more than 9,500 Canadians between the ages of 18 and 65, said Randstad Canada, a staffing, recruitment and HR services company. Canada’s 150 largest companies, all with at least 1,000 employees, were evaluated.
Survey data also revealed that competitive salary and employee benefits (67 per cent) were the most important attribute when choosing an employer.
Canadians also value long-term job security (54 per cent), a pleasant working atmosphere (50 per cent), and good work-life balance (42 per cent), among others, said Randstad Canada.
“[The Randstad Award] shows organizations that have and continue to score well that they are doing the right things to attract top talent. On the other hand, for companies that have slipped down the rankings, we are able to provide recommendations for improvement,” said Marc-Etienne Julien, CEO of Randstad Canada, in a written release.
