This is part of a joint CARPROOF and OpenRoad Auto Group research project, announced recently.
“It’s a bigger strategic partnership really aimed at working together to figure out ways to make the used car experience better” said Ed Woiteshek, President and CEO of CARPROOF, in an interview with Canadian auto dealer.
“It’s about the holistic used car buying experience, understanding all from a consumer standpoint where the pain points are in the experience and problem-solving solutions on how to make it more seamless and potentially fun for consumers to buy used cars,” Woiteshek added.
Woiteshek has also conducted similar research with Birchwood Automotive Group based in Winnipeg, the results of which will be announced within the next couple of months, he said.
Woiteshek said the research from these groups is part of the Transparency Advantage, an auto industry-led think tank launched by CARPROOF focused on driving transparency.
“When you come across dealers who are forward thinking and want to do something about it, that works well with our action orientation to go figure things out,” said Woiteshek.
