If you’re a Volkswagen dealer, chances are you’ve had more than a few inquires from your customers asking when the new Golf will be out. After all, the Golf is likely one of your three most popular models, the others being Jetta and Tiguan.

The 2015 Volkswagen Golf Driving Experience is visiting five Canadian cities this summer: Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver
So what do you tell them? Well Volkswagen Canada has been encouraging its retailers to make sure customers get out and experience the car first hand at the 2015 Volkswagen Golf Driving Experience, a traveling interactive event which is currently hitting major cities across the country.
“This is actually the fifth year we’ve done this type of program,” says Thomas Tetzlaff, Manager, Public Relations at Volkswagen Group Canada, “but this time we decided to change things up a bit.” Tetzlaff says that because this year is such an important one for Volkswagen and its dealers, and because the Golf is such a staple in terms of sales volume, this year’s tour decided to focus specifically on the new seventh generation car. By doing so, Tetzlaff says that more potential buyers will have a chance to sample the new Golf firsthand and that by encouraging its dealers to get their customers out and experience it firsthand, behind the wheel, that will help translate into higher orders once the cars arrive on the lots.
“Dealers have been excited,” says Tetzlaff. “There’s been a great deal of anticipation surrounding the new Golf.”
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf Driving Experience kicked off with a weekend in Halifax (May 31-June 2), before heading to Montreal (June 6-8). As you read this, it will be in Toronto, at Woodbine Racetrack for two weekends (June 21-22 and June 28-29) before heading west to Calgary at CrossIron Mills (July 13-14) and finally ending in Vancouver at Pitt Meadows Regional Airport (July 25-27).

Attendees get a chance to put both the regular 2015 Golf and GTI models through their paces
Attendees are invited to a product briefing on the new Golf and receive classroom tuition and one-on-one professional driving instruction. The tour showcases both the new, regular Golf and also its high performance GTI counterpart with participants able to give both versions a proper work out on specifically laid out autocross circuits.
