Heavy hitters from both sides of the border will take centre stage at CADA Summit 2013, an annual learning and networking event organized by the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) and held February 13, 2013 at the Hilton Toronto.

Bob Lutz
Industry legend and former GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz will present a keynote address as will President Obama’s former “Car Czar” Steven Rattner. These high profile American industry experts will help Canada’s auto dealers gain insights into major industry events in our recent past, say the event organizers.
Bob Lutz is one of the most experienced and high-profile auto executives in the world who left an indelible mark on all three of the Big Three U.S. automakers, most recently at General Motors where he reinvigorated the company’s vehicle lineup. In his speaker’s bio on the event website: www.cadasummit.ca, Lutz is described as: “A breath of fresh air in an industry known for its blandness and tenuous grasp on the changing realities of its market. Bob stands out as a gifted, bold, sometimes brash, always opinionated, and successful executive.”
Steven Rattner served as Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury and led the Obama Administration’s effort to restructure the automobile industry, which he chronicled in his book, Overhaul: An Insider’s Account of the Obama Administration’s Emergency Rescue of the Auto Industry. He is also a Contributing Writer for the Op-Ed page of The New York Times, the author of a monthly column for the Financial Times and the Economic Analyst for MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

Steven Rattner
Lutz and Rattner join an all-star cast of more than a dozen speakers who will cover everything from the economic factors affecting the auto retail industry, emerging retail trends, the changing car buyer, renewal efforts by the manufacturers, the media’s perspective on the changing industry, and much more.
Organizers say there are limited seats available for this event — designed specifically for auto dealers — and CADA encourages dealers to sign up as soon as possible as seats are being sold on a first come, first serve basis.
The all-day event is being held at the Hilton Toronto on February 13, 2013 and delegate admission includes breakfast, morning and afternoon sessions, lunch, networking breaks, a cocktail hour, and a dinner banquet that will recognize the winners of CADA’s Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey.
