A place for everything, and everything in its place
The last thing your customers want to see inside your service department are tools and equipment lying around. Apart from the obvious safety hazards that a sloppy shop poses for your employees, the disorder costs dealerships time and money as employees hunt around for the proper tools.
Rousseau Metal, a storage solution company based on the south shore of the St.-Lawrence River in St-Jean-Port-Joli, Que., builds a broad range of work stations for parts and services departments inside dealerships.
Rousseau’s customers include companies like Alcan, Boeing, Bombardier, Canadair, Chrysler, Honda, and Pratt & Whitney to name a few.
In 2003, the company launched its parts and service and tool storage products into the automotive retail market. Their products are designed for optimizing the use of floor space and providing a modern, attractive design.
“Our products can be designed for fixed or mobile use, and can be arranged for high density storage, adapted to fit work environments and are very flexible,” says Pierre-Jean Sévigny, the company’s director of business development and special projects.
The company’s research and development department regularly brings new ideas and products to market to better fit the needs of technicians and to increase efficiency and make the best use of space. “This innovation is one of the reasons that our products are found not only in the parts and service departments of dealers, but also in the shops for professional race car driving teams,” says Sévigny.
A family-owned company, Rousseau Métal employs more than 300 workers at its factory. The company’s products can also be customized and adapted to match the colours required by a specific dealer or OEM. For more information visit: www.rousseaumetal.com.
