DSMA has expanded the role of Crissy Knorr to support automotive dealers across Alabama as the company strengthens its presence in the southeastern United States.
The automotive merger-and-acquisition advisory firm said Knorr, a Birmingham native, will work directly with dealers on buy-sell opportunities and dealership valuations throughout the state. According to DSMA, Knorr has spent her career working with dealers in Alabama and Tennessee before recently returning to Alabama.
“Alabama born and raised, Crissy has spent her career working directly alongside dealers across Alabama and Tennessee, before now returning home to plant her roots in the state where it all started,” the company said in a statement.
The company said her familiarity with the regional market and dealer relationships will support its efforts as dealership buy-sell activity continues across the automotive retail sector.
Continued buy-sell activity in the U.S. reflects ongoing consolidation trends across North American automotive retail. Canadian dealers considering succession planning, acquisitions or future valuations are facing many of the same pressures around profitability, scale and investor demand, particularly as larger dealer groups continue expanding across regional markets.
DSMA said Knorr’s expanded role comes as Alabama emerges as a high-demand market within automotive retail, where dealership valuations and acquisition activity remain active despite broader economic uncertainty. The company added that Knorr will focus on helping dealers assess business values, succession planning opportunities and potential acquisition or sale strategies.
The company recently introduced Knorr as part of its Tennessee dealer advisory team alongside Greg Brown before expanding her responsibilities into Alabama.
