HGreg plants 6,250 trees in Quebec to revive natural ecosystem

HGreg announces the planting of 6,250 trees in Quebec by 2025, as part of its “Buy a car, plant a tree” campaign, in partnership with Tree Canada.

Automotive Group HGreg will plant a total of 6,250 trees in Quebec this year as part of its annual Buy a Car, Plant a Tree campaign, in partnership with Tree Canada.

It’s all part of a broader initiative to support reforestation projects across the country. HGreg said a total of 14,822 trees have been planted since the partnership launched back in 2016.

“As a key player in our industry, we have a responsibility to play an active role in protecting the environment,” said Harry Kasparian, Vice President of Marketing for HGreg, in a statement. “That’s why we’re proud to renew our commitment to Tree Canada, this year and for years to come.”

This year HGreg is planting trees in Bécancour RCM, a former abandoned farm site near the St. Lawrence River. The company wants to revive a natural ecosystem by reintroducing native conifers that no longer naturally regenerate in this region.
