Montreal EV show will take place at former Expos stadium in May

The Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS) is set to take place at Stade IGA, in the heart of Parc Jarry, from May 2 to 4, 2025 — a new, temporary location this year.

The show, now in its 8th edition, has been temporarily relocated from the Olympic Stadium due to ongoing renovations. The Stade IGA is a former baseball stadium that was home to the Montreal Expos and is centrally located in the city and easily accessible.

The show will feature more than 15 car manufacturers, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford, and Audi. The event is entirely dedicated to electromobility, showcasing innovations, new vehicle models, and charging infrastructure. Luis Pereira, Director of MEVS, said they are doing everything possible to make it a memorable event.

“Our team is fully committed to offering visitors an exceptional experience, with experts on-site to answer all their questions,” he said in a statement. “As a leading automotive event promoter in Canada, we are proud to make (MEVS) a must-attend experience.”

As a reminder, MEVS was acquired by the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) in 2024. The show will still include electric vehicle test drives, expert-led conferences, and cutting-edge technologies. Both MEVS and MIAS will remain separate events in the short and medium term.

However, MEVS said the show “now benefits from the full expertise of the MIAS team, ensuring a high level of organization and logistics. This marks an important milestone in the evolution of electric mobility in Canada.”
