Automotive State of the Union (ASOTU) has launched a docuseries on Prime Video about the automotive retail industry that shares untold stories they say will shatter industry stereotypes and “reveal a world few get to see.”
The series is called More Than Cars: The Truth About Car Dealers, and is available through Prime Video Direct. ASOTU said it provides viewers with a raw and unfiltered look into the heart of car dealerships in the United States, along with their values, their community, and their humanity.
“Most people think they know what a dealership is, but the reality couldn’t be more different. ‘More Than Cars’ flips the script by showing the real stories — the human stories — that drive this industry forward,” said Paul J Daly, founder and CEO of ASOTU, in a statement.
Daly is also a host of the docuseries with Kyle Mountsier, Partner and COO. Mountsier said they want people to see what they have seen: “a world of passion, grit, and deep commitment to communities.”
“Our goal is simple,” said Daly. “We want to change the way people see car dealerships — not as transactional, but as transformational spaces that impact lives in ways most wouldn’t expect. This series is a tribute to the people who pour their hearts into this industry every single day.”
The company described its Season 1 episodes as taking viewers across the U.S. (from Texas to Western New York) to explore connections and community-driven practices that define auto retail businesses. Dealers interested in watching the show can view it here.
